DSI ApexSil CAL is a bioceramic material specially crafted for sealing root canals.
Being a non-eugenol polymeric, radiopaque calcium hydroxide-based root canal filling material, it's a two-part, base/ catalyst–paste/paste system. The mixture is then carried to the root canal with endodontic obturation points.
What sets it apart from others is its unique combination of MTA and calcium hydroxide, providing superior biocompatibility, faster tissue healing, and high radiopacity. It's ideal for permanent root canal sealing, safeguarding against re-infection after endodontic treatment. With excellent flowability, it ensures proper canal sealing, and the release of calcium ions from the calcium hydroxide promotes tooth health.
Promotes rapid healing and the formation of hard tissue. DSI ApexSil CAL also offers convenient working and setting times, making it an excellent choice for endodontic procedures. Furthermore, it can be easily removed when needed. This versatile material is suitable for treating perforations, root resorption, apical plugs, and pulp capping. It has a reasonable working time of 23 minutes and sets in just 30 minutes, remaining responsive to moisture. DSI ApexSil CAL is among the most radiopaque (over 300%) endodontic sealers available, combining antimicrobial and biocompatible properties.
